The Robert Delaney Endowed Scholarship for Aviation

***The Lewis Department of Aviation has pledged $1000 if we can break our $10,000 Goal for Rob's Scholarship.  Please make your gift today to help us achieve this challenge!!***

"It is my hope that Rob's hand-stinging high fives, boisterous laugh, enthusiasm for learning, and spirit of giving back will be remembered by future generations of students." - Pete Miller, Class of 2004

Please help us create the Rob Delaney Endowed Scholarship for Aviation at Lewis University in memory of a beloved student, alumnus, teacher, aviator and friend, Rob Delaney.

Rob earned his Bachelor's degree in Aviation Flight Management at Lewis University in 2006. Upon graduating, he decided to pass on his knowledge and skills to future classes by becoming a Flight Instructor and Flight Team Coach at Lewis. After about 5 years of working at Lewis, Rob pursued his dream career as a First Officer for ExpressJet Airlines.

Rob was diagnosed with Rhabdomyosarcoma, but that didn't prevent him from continuing to share his love of flying. Although his career as an airline pilot was put on hold, he spent his time at Lewis selflessly sharing his passion for all things aviation. Unfortunately Rob lost his battle in 2016 at age 31.

Please consider a gift to support the Robert Delaney Scholarship and honor Rob's passion for learning and aviation and ensure that future generations of aviation students can benefit from a Lewis education.

The campaign will run from May 1st-July 17th (Rob's birthday).

Don't forget to sign up for the Rob Delaney Fundraiser at Gelsosomo's Pizzeria in Lemont on Sunday, July 16th.  They will donate 30% of all in-house sales to Rob's Scholarship!  Please register today at:
